Protein is necessary as it plays many critical roles in the human body, beginning with the human cells and then followed by regulation, structure and function of the organs and tissues. 1. Know the two different types
There are two types of protein - complete and incomplete. Complete consists of meat, soy products, milk, fish, eggs and shellfish because they contain enough essential amino acids for the body to function normally. Foods like vegetables, fruit and grains are incomplete proteins because they do not have enough of the essential acids the body needs.

4. Fruit
Fruit has fewer proteins than vegetables, but some have small amounts. One of the top fruits is cantaloupe at 11.33% protein. Next is fresh strawberries at 7.53%; navel oranges at 7.21%; watermelon at 6.40%; bananas at 5.14%; seedless raisins at 3.88%; canned peaches at 3.68%; blueberries at 3.25%; canned pineapple at 2.93%; apple juice at.50%; and peeled red delicious apples at.32%.
5. Supplements for vegan diets
